HMV G Series

HMVG20

The HMV-G Series microhardness testing system is designed for measuring the hardness of small parts and metallic structures used in precision equipment, processed surface layers, and metal plating layers.  This makes the HMV-G Series ideal for metallographic research and product quality control.

The HMV-G Series microhardness testing system covers two models – the mechanical HMV-G20 and the semi-automatic HMV-G21 – along with a large variety of optional features to offer you the best microhardness testing system suited for your exact needs.

The mechanical HMV-G20 Series features an easy-to-read, full color LCD display large enough to view test results and on-screen graphics such as histograms and data plots, while it’s built-in statistical software accommodates up to 999 data points.

The semi-automatic HMV-G21 Series microhardness tester comes with a built-in CCD camera. Combined with the C.A.M.S. software installed on a PC this solution offers its user easy, high-precision measurement for on-screen viewing, measurement and analysis. The HMV-G21 accommodates up to 5000 data points.

The HMV-G Series features a truly unique design based around its innovative “G” style frame from which the tester gets its name. The G style design provides for an expanded work area with open access on both the X and Y planes and allows testing of large samples as well as samples with unusual geometries which cannot be accessed with conventional tester designs.

An “unlimited” horizontal capacity on both the X and Y axis, together with a load range from 10 to 2000 grams (1g low load optional) and fully automatic load change standard, are just a few of the great features of the HMV-G Series microhardness testing system.

The HMV-G Series utilizes an extremely precise electromagnetic force control system and allows for automatic and seamless changes between each of the HMV-G’s nine test loads.

The HMV-G’s motorized turret incorporates two indenter positions as well as capacity for up to four separate objectives, with 10X and 40X objectives included as standard.

Completely integral video camera eliminates the normally bulky camera protrusion and a reliable LED illumination system makes the HMV-G Series ideally suited for integration into automated systems.
